Machine Operators will be responsible for operation of machine in their area, while maintaining a safe, efficient workflow with quality outputs.
The General Laborer responsibilities include safety, quality of product produced, quantity of product produced, all reports and or data collection, and effective operation of the machine center.
Assists the machine center as needed to maximize the setup and operation of the machine center in a timely manner.
All individuals assigned to the General Labor are to work together in a safe, efficient and effective manner to insure the production of a quality product.
To achieve this level of operations all employees are required to comply with all applicable Plant and OSHA safety rules.
GENERAL DUTIES:
The General Labor responsibility is to assist the Operator/Assistant Operator of a machine center with the quality production of all products. The General Labor will also perform any other duties as assigned by any member of management.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have demonstrated the ability to perform each normal duty satisfactory in this classification and all lower classifications in this line of progression. Also, the ability to learn to perform the normal duties in the next classification in this line of progression. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
* Ability to read and use a tape measure
* Must be mechanically inclined
* Must have basic knowledge of machinery
* Must be able to direct/manage 2-3 people and work as a team
* Provide support and training for machine team
* Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written format
* Must possess or be able to learn basic computer skills
* Must have good work ethic
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described her are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform normal job functions. While performing the duties of this job, an individual is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. An individual frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. An individual must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently life and/or move to twenty-five pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that any individual encounters while performing the normal job functions. While performing the duties of this job, an individual regularly works near moving mechanical parts. An individual is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and temperature variations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
