Avenal Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Laborer to join our team in Avenal, CA! This is a full time, long term position with a reputable company.

The schedule will be Monday-Friday 7am-4pm plus some Saturdays (overtime).

Starting pay will be $17-20/hour, depending on experience. The pay range for this job category is $17-20.50/hour.

Responsibilities Include:

Picking litterSpotting/directing trucksTracking weather patterns to be able to set up fencing and wind screensTraffic management - moving signs and conesEnsuring that all customers are wearing proper PPECleaning EquipmentGeneral site cleanup and landscapingDriving employees to their work stations on sitePerforming other assigned duties at the landfill as needed

Requirements:

At least 2 years of work experience.  Preferably in a labor type positionValid Driver's License and clean driving recordThe ability to lift up to 75 poundsExperience operating equipment is a plusAbility to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shiftMechanical ability is a plus.
