Job Summary:

The Landscaping and Golf Course Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the upkeep and beautification of the resort's outdoor areas, including the golf course. This role involves a variety of tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation, and general maintenance to ensure the resort's landscape is well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing. This position does include janitorial duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Golf Course Maintenance:Mow, trim, and edge fairways, greens, and roughs.Maintain bunkers, tee boxes, and other golf course features.Perform aeration, fertilization, and pest control as needed.Operate and maintain golf course equipment and machinery.Monitor and manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal water usage.Landscaping:Plant, prune, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and grass.Design and implement seasonal planting and landscaping projects.Maintain pathways, walkways, and other outdoor areas.Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of all landscaped areas.Apply mulch, fertilizers, and pesticides as necessary.General Maintenance:Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify and address any issues.Repair and maintain outdoor furniture, fixtures, and structures.Assist with snow removal and other seasonal tasks as required.Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure overall resort upkeep.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in horticulture or landscaping is a plus.Proven experience in landscaping and/or golf course maintenance.Knowledge of plants, gardening techniques, and landscape design.Familiarity with irrigation systems and lawn care equipment.Ability to operate and maintain various landscaping tools and machinery.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
