Labour Law and Labour Relation Specialist, RCEU (m/f/d)

Job Description

As a Labour Law and Labour Relation Specialist you have responsibility and accountability for the areas of Labour Relation / Labour Law for the country(ies) in scope.

This includes the implementation of global deliveries and processes, policies, and guidelines. As well as securing that local laws, practices and needs are captured and catered for.

Key responsibilities:

Facilitating alignment between global and local needs to achieve a common approach and delivery where neededResponsible for labour law, industrial and labour relations including legal advice connected to e.g., new markets, business models and strategiesResponsible for supporting and guiding negotiations with local work councils and unions, incl. collective bargaining negotiations when neededEnsure that individual cases, internal investigations, incidents, and disciplinary actions are managed according to group standards and local lawsResponsible for the Grievance mechanism and supporting tools for the country(ies) in scopeBe part of change- and strategic initiatives where Labour relations/Labour law expertise is needed and analyse and advise on solutions and give operational supportAdvise management on contracts, worker grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
 

Qualifications

To be successful in the role as Labour Law and Labour Relation Specialist (m/f/d), we believe you bring an open-minded and empathetic personality to engage with stakeholders and build trusting relationships to achieve common goals.

In addition, you have the ability to deal with challenging situations confidently and act as a strong communicator who is confident to work towards resistance and negotiate win-win outcomes. 

What you need to succeed: 

Formal education within Human Resources (or relevant experience)  Formal education within Labour Law (or relevant experience)Extensive work experience within Labour Law / Labour Relations areasProject management skills- ability to organize, prioritize activities and deliver outcomes timelyExperience of working with work councils and/or unions, Policy DevelopmentUp-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, best practices, and case lawsPrevious experience in supporting transformation/implementing strategiesProficiency in English is required, and German is an advantage

This is a full-time position based Hamburg or Berlin, Germany.
