Work hours: Full-time, day shift

Here’s What You Need
Associate's Degree Nursing Required

Bachelor's Degree Nursing Upon hire Preferred

Experience

1 Year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program, or a THR residency program Required

1 year of lactation experience is preferred

Licenses and Certifications

RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required and

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required And
IBCLC - Lactation Consultant 12 Months Required

A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

As a nurse, you will focus on responding to others priorities regarding safety, physical and psychological needs while paying close attention to maintenance of comfort and human emotion during health and illness, while providing safe patient care.

As a lactation consultant, you act as an expert resource on breastfeeding issues for patients, families, community, staff, and physicians. Serves as a clinical expert for lactation issues based on evidence.

Reviews patient medications for potential complications associated with breastfeeding.

Assesses outpatients for symptoms of jaundice and breastfeeding problems

Participates in breast pump rental and retail sales within the Breastfeeding Resource Center
