Summary

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the development and implementation of standards and programs which assist the breastfeeding mother to attain her individual breastfeeding goals. Will collaborate with the nursing staff, physicians, and patients to identify lactation needs and plan accordingly to meet those needs. The LC will have an inpatient and outpatient focus. Additionally, the LC will be a resource to the hospital Associates and the community

REQUIREMENTS Preferred Associate's Degree Preferred Bachelor's Degree 1-3 years Completion of CLC and experience working with breastfeeding parents and babies.. Preferred CPR - AHA Healthcare Provider IBCLC - Board Certified Lactation Consultant RN - Registered Nurse
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Must maintain CLC until IBCLC certified. Must be candidate to sit for IBCLC within 2 years of hire.
