The FORTNA Leadership and Development Rotation (LADR) Program is a 1-year, rotational program committed to the accelerated development of entry-level Professional Services and Engineering talent with a passion for technology, automation, and professional services coupled with a drive for exceptional client service. Through intense training and a variety of business-critical assignments, technical and business skills are developed. LADR graduates have the technical and business foundation to make innovative contributions that help our clients be successful in a dynamic world. The program consists of the following tracks: Project Management, Consulting, Engineering, Electrical Controls Engineering, Client Support, Maintenance and Software Development. Program members are full-time Fortna Associates and work in rotational assignments to accelerate their development and assimilation into the business.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

LADR program members at Fortna experience technically challenging rotations that are driven by opportunities to solve our clients’ toughest distribution problems. 

 Overview of Department and Responsibilities

Understand the org structure and functional responsibilitiesUnderstand the overall purpose of the department and its teamsHow is the department measured and what does success look like

Accounting Track

Assist accounting teams in the monthly close processAssist in: Creation and preparation of the monthly reporting packagePreparation of balance sheet reconciliations, including any related researchImplementation of process enhancements including updating any documentation as neededLearn and support the process for taxes, inventories, receivables and payables

Commercial Finance and FP&A Track 

Assist in the creation of the monthly reporting package to be utilized by Executive Leadership Track payment terms and milestones for potential and booked projects to assist in accurately forecasting FORTNA’s cash positionThrough variance analysis, analyze monthly results vs. our multi-year forecasts for review by Executive Leadership

Project Controls Track 

Assist in the forecasting of large multi-million dollar projectsLearn the methodologies behind FORTNA’s revenue recognition process and assist in measuring the impacts it has across the company Create and update models to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree with evidence of strong performance in supply chain, businessExcellent analytical and research skillsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office softwareAbility to work effectively on a team and support high levels of performanceAbility to develop structured problem-solving skillsHigh level comprehension of financial analysisAbility to utilize good facilitation skillsAbility to develop research skillsExcellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbalDesire to continually add value to and ensure accuracy and quality in all work performedAbility to perform essential functions of the jobAbility to travel nationally and internationally approximately 50% of the time
