Shift:12-Hour Rotating Continental Shifts
Reporting to the Department Supervisor, the Laminator Operator Assistant is responsible for assisting operator in supplying customer with high-resolution graphics and material that consistently meets expectations through efficient operation of equipment. All employees are mandated to create a zero-injury environment and engage actively in all areas of SPS.
What you’ll be doing:
Understanding and proper application of all safety rules, regulations, and procedures including proper personal protective equipment and safe manufacturing practices. (eg. cut resistant gloves and proper handling of blades)Wash parts and maintain wash up areaProperly label all containers for storagePerform splicesRead and understand dockets and specsPerform maintenance housekeepingTest raw materials as neededStage materials for current/upcoming job (i.e. cores, glue and catalyst).Properly maintain housekeeping duties (i.e. blowing machine out, sweeping, mopping floor)Make sure rolls and cores are lined up properly and put material/poly on unwinderChange rolls on both unwinds and rewind and prepare for transportationMaintain wash-up areaAssist Operator with all make ready procedures such as changing cylinders, cleaning arm holder and floor, chromac, web up press, and change tape positionChromac and clean parts like splashguards, cylinders, pumps, blades, cylinder pan, toppers, drain hose, and stir sticksWeigh and mix adhesive batches and keep recordsOperate roll manipulatorAttend training seminars as requiredBackup Operator when neededWe’d love to hear from you if you possess the following requirements:
