David Weekley Homes, a progressive leader in the homebuilding industry and nationally recognized for award-winning designs, is seeking a qualified Land Coordinator to join our Portland Land Team.  We are looking for people who have enthusiastic attitudes and a strong work ethic along with a passion for residential home construction to share in our success! 

This person will assist our VP of Land, Division President, Land Analysis and Land Acquisition Team with a variety of pivotal tasks and requires a reliable, self-starting individual who can work independently.

Responsibilities include:

Assist Land Acquisition Managers with procurement of due diligence work as well as requesting and preparing all necessary paperwork for vendorsDevelop and manage community lot fit analysis for home plans in CAD Develop home plot plans construction documents for permitting and home starts in CADAssist the land team with community planning process, including site analysis, yield studies, land planning, landscape design, signage, and monumentation, amenity programming and planning, and common open space planning.Coordinate a wide variety of complex, sensitive, and confidential data on land acquisition and development projectsCoordinate and facilitate HOA matters including communicating with Association Management Companies, participate on HOA boards, Assist with DRE, HOA, and CC&R administration for each community.Assist with vendor set up, invoice processing, and approval of draw submittals for land acquisition, land entitlements, and land development vendorsTrack and manage deadlines on multiple projects and milestonesTrack and manage lot takedown requirements with local Division managers and the corporate land teamFacilitate agreements and contracts with third parties and maintain accurate recordsFacilitate communication with multiple departments within the companyMaintain spreadsheets for tracking purposes and regularly disseminate information to multiple people inside and outside the organization, as well as following up as needed to ensure each project stays on track through completionMaintaining general records and other assignments as needed
QualificationsBachelor’s or associate degree in architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field.Knowledge of residential plans and land development construction drawingsProficiency in AutoCAD requiredReal estate development or homebuilding experience preferredMust be able to learn software quickly in order to conduct market research and analysis. Prior use of RMLS preferredHighly proficient in MS Excel, including the ability to use various tools for tracking and timelines along with general MS Office proficiency and SmartsheetExperience reading and comprehending legal real estate legal documents like deeds, plats, HOA documents, contracts, and closing statements preferredExcellent written and verbal communication and strong active listening skillsProven attention to detail and organizationAbility to follow-up on a variety of tasks simultaneously and switch from task to task while maintaining focus and priorityShould demonstrate a professional demeanor, positive attitude, and high level of integrity
