Job Description
We are seeking an emerging Civil Land Development Engineer to join our Land Development practice in the N. Raleigh area. This position involves engineering design and analysis for civil site projects, including parks and recreation facilities, single-family residential developments, corporate campuses, and mixed-use commercial developments. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a passion for collaborating with team members and clients.
ResponsibilitiesPerform engineering design and analysis for civil site projects using applicable software and typical design methodologies.Assist in the preparation of project construction documents, including construction drawings, specifications, details, and calculation submittals when necessary.Coordinate with other project team members such as Architects, Structural Engineers, MEP Engineers, Contractors, and Owners.Conduct construction administration by reviewing project shop drawings, responding to contractor RFIs or questions during project construction, and performing site inspections.Complete site visits and client interviews to gather field information required to complete project design.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Bio & Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.EIT or EI certification is required with eligibility to obtain a Professional Engineering license within 2 years preferred.Minimum of 2 years of civil engineering design experience in a civil/site or stormwater-focused role.Experience with Microsoft Office, Civil 3D/Carlson/MicroStation Software.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with site plans including site layout, utilities, grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management.Experience with GIS applications, StormCAD, or other drainage software is a plus.A desire to collaborate and interact with team members and clients.Willingness to engage with clients to maintain open lines of communication and ensure client satisfaction.Work Environment
The company prefers individuals to be in the office 3-4 days per week, with the option to work from home 1-2 days per week.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $125000.00
