We recognize the importance of creating a work environment that is both rewarding to our employees and supportive of our unwavering commitment to provide unparalleled service to our clients. **Purpose** Oversee progress and planning of project submittals to local agencies, track agency review comments, coordinate with engineering and survey teams to address review comments and obtain approval of plans and final plats necessary for clients to obtain permits for construction. **Responsibilities** **Leadership and Direction** + Perform work under moderate supervision. Receive direction on moderately complex assignments, tasks, and execution. Work is frequently reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound techniques and principles. Review work produced by junior staff for quality assurance. **Do the Work** + Research existing General Plan and Zoning for properties. + Obtain utility quarter section maps and as-built plans for surrounding improvements. + Assist in land acquisition feasibility, due diligence research and preparation of reports. + Identify agency requirements for pre-application, preliminary plat/preliminary site plan and engineering plan submittals. + Travel to sites to obtain site photographs and prepare context plans with photo exhibits. + Prepare submittal packages, travel to agencies to make submittals, prepare estimated review schedules, follow up with agencies to expedite review processes. + Communicate agency review comments to Engineering Design Team and subconsultants. + Prepare scope of services and fee proposals and obtain subconsultant proposals. + Prepare project schedules and weekly status reports to be sent to clients. + Organization of electronic copies of all submittal documents, uploading for client and project team access, filing physical documents in project files. + Assist in preparing technical reports and engineering cost estimates. + General administrative support, tracking and ordering office supplies, coordinating meetings, preparing for client meetings, etc. **Success Metrics and Competencies** + Ability to work both independently and within a team environment. + Highly motivated and problem-solving attitude. + Strong sense of urgency in responding to constituents. + Effective verbal and written communication skills. + Strong work ethic and commitment to quality. + Self-reliance and ability to operate independently with limited direction. + Commitment to promoting the reputation of the company through quality of work. + Effective working relationship with internal leaders and peers, as well as external clients. + Commitment to becoming a "citizen" of the broader organization, breaking down barriers and silos. + Ability to effectively manage multiple time-sensitive tasks. **Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Commensurate relevant experience considered. + Three or more (3+) years of experience in civil engineering, architecture, project management, public planning with a familiarity in dealing with governmental agencies and project management required. + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Web Browsers (Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome), and Adobe and/or Bluebeam. + Familiarity with Deltek and PandaDoc a plus. + Must have a vehicle, valid driver's license, and be willing to travel within local area (mileage will be reimbursed). **Physical Demands and Working Environment** + Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic. + Mobility around an office environment. + Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. + Primarily local travel during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business. + Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds. + Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds. + Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder. \#LI-BJ1 **Job Description Disclaimer** Note: While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the job requirements, it is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
