Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Land Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will assist in conducting land surveys, determining property boundaries, and preparing maps and reports. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in land surveying and gain hands-on experience in the field.

ResponsibilitiesConduct field surveys and measurements using modern surveying equipment such as total stations and GPS.Assist in determining property boundaries and providing advice on boundary issues.Record survey results and verify the accuracy of data.Prepare maps, diagrams, and reports detailing the results of surveys.Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to provide surveying information for construction and development projects.Use computer software, including CAD, to draft plans and create visual aids.Research legal documents, land records, previous survey records, and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries.Maintain and operate surveying instruments and equipment.Ensure compliance with regulations and codes.Stay up to date with new surveying technology and industry developments.Essential SkillsBasic knowledge of surveying principles and practices.Proficiency with modern surveying equipment and software.Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.Good communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.Valid driver's license.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is a bonus.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44000.00 - $52000.00
