Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Land Surveyors to support the rehabilitation work at Lynchburg VA Airport. This role involves overnight shifts from 9 PM to 6 AM to avoid disruptions during heavy airport traffic hours. The initial project duration is six months, with the potential for extension on further projects in the area and travel opportunity.
ResponsibilitiesWork with the Senior Engineer/Surveyor, Site Management, and production crews to ensure works are staked out according to project requirements and schedules.Review project drawings to ensure all work elements are accurately staked out in the field.Conduct as-built record surveys to ensure compliance with specifications.Review material usage for wastage reconciliation purposes.Ensure all existing and newly installed utilities are marked in the field and necessary permits to excavate are in place.Ensure required quality control and procedural documents are in place, including calibration checks and records for surveying equipment.Essential SkillsMinimum 1 year of experience related to stake out and surveying.Experience in construction.Proficiency in CAD or certification in CAD is a plus.Experience with GPS, total station, and elevation checking equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsTraining will be provided for the usage of instruments and equipment.Work Environment
This position is onsite at Lynchburg Airport in VA. The role involves working overnight shifts from 9 PM to 6 AM. You will be part of a supportive team based onsite in a trailer, ensuring you have the necessary assistance and collaboration to perform your duties effectively.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
