Land Surveyor Party Chief
Job Title: Land Surveyor Party Chief Job Description We are currently seeking an experienced Party Chief to perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying in our location in SC. The individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects in the field while performing boundary, ALTA, topographic, right-of-way acquisition, transmission line, gas pipeline, transportation, and construction surveys utilizing the latest equipment and surveying technology. Responsibilities + Supervise and collect all field data for surveys. + Operate total station, level, RTK GPS Receiver, and data collectors in the performance of field surveys and teach the same. + Perform construction stakeout. + Perform gas pipeline surveying. + Perform powerline surveying. + Perform topographic surveys. + Perform boundary surveys & ALTA/ACSM land title surveys. + Perform deed research when needed. Essential Skills + A minimum of 10 years of survey experience as a survey party chief. + Experience in land surveying, boundary and ALTA surveying. + Proficiency in operating total station equipment, RTK GPS Receiver, and data collectors. + Ability to work independently and in group environments. + Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. + Ability to repetitively stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs. + Ability to stand for long periods on varied surfaces. + Ability to follow policy & procedures to ensure all work is done accurately and efficiently. + QA/QC field work. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. + Experience in teaching field survey techniques. Work Environment The individual will be working out of our SC office. The role involves some travel, but the individual should be at home every night. The work is primarily in a field environment, requiring physical activity and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
