Job Title: Land Use Planner
Job Description

A Civil Engineering consulting firm is looking to add a Land Use Planner with at least 3 years of experience to their team. This firm has been around for over 40 years, supporting large residential plats, master planning communities, and a variety of commercial projects. The candidate will utilize their project management skills, working closely with clients and municipalities through the planning and permitting phase for multiple projects. AutoCAD design experience is preferable but not required.

ResponsibilitiesNavigate and manage a variety of entitlement processes, from short plats to comprehensive plan amendments.Apply knowledge of civil engineering and surveying to interpret and analyze development plans.Collaborate with community groups, planning boards, and city/county councils to present project proposals.Lead and coordinate land use projects across multiple jurisdictions and clients.Prepare detailed proposals and project schedules, and keep clients informed with clear, timely communication.Work closely with our team of consultants to manage project risks and ensure successful outcomes.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in local land use permitting and planningProject Management experience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyBachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Studies, Geography, or related fieldProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe or BluebeamExperienced working with different jurisdictions in WashingtonAdditional Skills & QualificationsGIS and AutoCAD experience preferredWork Environment

Working in office in Federal Way. The company offers a friendly and casual work environment and includes consultants in profit sharing and performance bonuses. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $41.00/hr.
