**Waste Connections** is looking for a Landfill Gas Technician to join our team at the landfill in **Oakdale, LA** . This is a physically demanding position and requires one to work outside in all weather conditions. 80% of the role is in the field, 20% data entry. + Monday – Friday, on call nights/weekends as needed. Shift is from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. + The pay range is $18-21/hr., depending on experience. + On top of competitive wages, we offer excellent benefits, 401k match $1 per $1, and vacation. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Field Installing and Repairing; + Pulling and cleaning pumps on a regular maintenance schedule; + Perform well field valve/vacuum adjustments; + Run poly pipe; + Calibrate, operate and maintain sensitive electronic data collection devices necessary to collect the data for reporting; + Availability for after-hours response to GCCS related malfunctions event (s); + Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. **WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:** + Work involves constant exposure to unusual elements. + Extensive physical activity.
