Essential Functions and Responsibilities \n\nEnsures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times. \nUnloads waste from incoming trucks. \nOperates bulldozer to move waste onto the working face of the landfill; operates track loader to cover waste with dirt. \nApplies fresh dirt to keep dumping area clean. Covers waste with dirt and\/or plastic tarp. \nPerforms general inspections. \nEmpties leachate building by tankers. \nMaintains equipment. \nMay provide guidance to less experienced operators. \nMonday through Friday 7am to 3pm \n\n

Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent. \n

Experience: One year experience operating similar heavy equipment is required. \n

Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. Thorough knowledge of operating heavy equipment. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirator. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job. \n
