Job Description

Olsson delivers a boutique creative design experience to our clients and our people, backed by the expertise and resources of our whole company.

As a Landscape Architect within our team, you will conduct work requiring a mastery of specialized techniques or ingenuity when selecting and evaluating solutions to unforeseen or novel complexities. The associate landscape architect is a problem solver who applies design solutions to various opportunities and issues.

Additional Responsibilities:

Provides basic landscape architecture design.Performs specific landscape architecture design tasks on the project team and is expected to use education, intelligence, and common sense to perform tasks and resolve problems.Provides computer-aided design (CAD) drafting. Must have rendering capabilities.Assists in all phases of design and construction administration.Creates presentation materials.Develops schematic designs and/or construction documents; develop cost estimates.Instruct technicians on how to reduce designs into completed drawings.Researches and then writes reports and opinions.May coordinate with clients.May gain field experience by observing landscape architecture projects.Assists more experienced landscape architects as work is subject to supervisor approval.May travel to job sites for observation and to perform fieldwork.

Excellent communication skills.Ability to contribute and work well on a team.Strong project management skills.Passion for continued learning and expertise development.Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture.Must be a Registered Landscape ArchitectInterpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Advanced math skills and the ability to understand abstract principles behind math and physics.Demonstrates skill with design-based software applications including, but not limited to, CAD, geographic information systems, and graphics programs for laying out projects.
