Job Title: Landscape Architect

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Architect to join our team. You will work with public and private sector clients to plan, design, and permit a broad range of projects throughout northeastern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin. This role involves utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D for drafting, construction document preparation, and Adobe Creative Suite for illustrative graphics production. The position primarily involves office-based work with occasional field duties, including construction observation and reporting.

ResponsibilitiesUse AutoCAD and Civil 3D for drafting and assisting engineers with engineering plans.Prepare construction documents and specifications.Produce illustrative graphics using Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., plan rendering, cross-sections, vignettes, perspectives).Serve as the project landscape architect/designer on environmental restoration and infrastructure improvement projects, including stormwater and flood management, shoreline and streambank stabilization, wetland restoration and habitat enhancement, transportation, and trail design.Conduct occasional field visits for construction observation and reporting.Collaborate closely with the civil team and other landscape architects.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture.4-6 years of experience in Landscape Architecture.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.Experience in landscape design, site development, land development, site layout, project planning, construction document preparation, site planning, and restoration.Understanding of erosion control, roadway design, and site design.Additional Skills & QualificationsCivil 3D proficiency is a plus.Professional Landscape Architecture license (PLA) is a plus.Project Management experience is a plus.Interest and/or experience in water and natural resources, including native plant identification skills.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00
