Job Title: Landscape Architect

Job Description

We have an immediate need for an Associate Landscape Architect to join our team. As an associate landscape architect, you will contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of landscape architecture projects. You will collaborate with high level landscape architects, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs that meet client expectations and project goals. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, design creativity, project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development of conceptual and schematic designs for landscape architecture projects.Prepare detailed design drawings, plans, sections, and specifications.Conduct site analysis, including site inventory and assessment of environmental, social, and physical characteristics.Coordinate with project teams to ensure design integrity and project goals are met.Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and proposals.Manage project tasks, deadlines, and deliverables under the guidance of high level staff.Participate in client meetings, presentations, and workshops.Communicate design concepts and solutions effectively to clients and stakeholders.Address client feedback and incorporate revisions into design documents as needed.Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS for design and documentation.Stay updated on industry standards, trends, and best practices in landscape architecture.Ensure designs comply with local regulations and codes related to landscape architecture.Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.Collaborate with contractors and consultants during the construction phase to ensure design intent is realized.Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and other professionals on multidisciplinary projects.Mentor junior staff members and support their professional development.Essential SkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) or eligibility to pursue licensure in the near future.3-5 years of relevant experience in landscape architecture, preferably in a design firm or consultancy.Proficiency in design software - AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Microsoft Office.Additional Skills & QualificationsRevit experience is a plus.Strong design and graphic presentation skills.Knowledge of sustainable design practices and principles (LEED certifications, experience selecting sustainable materials).Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Work Environment

You will work in a team-oriented environment with an open floor plan to encourage collaboration. The office is well-located, providing a nice and conducive workspace. The team consists of 11 other members, including engineers and design technicians. There is a good balance of fun and work, with opportunities for mentorship and professional development. The company has a strong backlog of work and is growing, ensuring job stability and continuous learning opportunities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.66/hr.
