Job Description

Overview: Perform a variety of project tasks to support the development of design solutions and project documentation development

Responsibilities:

•  Perform assignments that have clear and specific objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables 
•   Prepare working drawings and related project documents 
•   Analyze site design and construction systems, design layouts, and construction features, which requires researching, compiling and recording information for assigned project work 
•   Assist in preparation of project specifications 
•   Conduct site and construction inspections for information-gathering purposes, preparing interpretive reports for review and approval 
•   Act as a project resource, completing allocated activities to meet budget, timeframe and quality objectives and meeting or exceeding client expectations
•   Carry out research, gather data, and perform analysis and computations to support the development of design solutions
•   Prepare detailed design drawings, reports and other documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Arcadi's requirements and relevant national or local standards and codes of practice
•   Liaise with Project Managers/Team leaders and clients to ensure effective communication on project matters
•   Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution
•   Further develop understanding of the services delivered by Arcadis, of the client’s business and of the industry sector to facilitate personal networking and to develop personal credibility in the industry
•   May monitor the performance of team members to identify and ensure the resolution of any issues

Qualifications

Candidates must have University Degree in Architecture or Equivalent from an accredited programProficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe CS, and Microsoft OS is a must along with an ability to isolate and define areas of problem-solving and develop different viable solutions2-3 years comparable office experienceMassachusetts license preferred Ability to work independentlyStrong technical knowledge of building construction and thorough understanding of construction documentsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsStrong 2D CAD and Revit experienceDeveloping support of construction documentationKnowledge of mixed-used, hospitality projects preferred
