Landscape Maintenance Supervisor

Do you love working outside? Sun Peaks Resort seeks a seasonal Landscape Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The Landscape Supervisor will oversee the maintenance and enhancement of the resort's golf course and outdoor spaces, ensuring they remain pristine and visually appealing. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences through beautiful landscapes. Compensation Information: $23.25 per hour

Physical Requirement: Heavy, Work activities involve handling loads of more than 20 kg, predominately outside

Skills you bring with you:

Must have, at minimum, a Horticulture Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution. Previous supervisory experience working in landscaping (minimum 2 years). Must possess and submit valid Driver’s License. Must possess a valid Pesticide Applicators Certificate. Must be in good physical condition, able to lift heavy objects, do manual and all types of labor, etc. Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Willing and able to work very early shifts. Familiar with ISO 14001 and WHMIS regulations. Good working knowledge of current WCB regulations. Must be familiar with current BC IPM Regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Recognize that your safety, the safety of your fellow workers and the safety of the general public is your number one job responsibility. Operation of light duty golf course and landscaping maintenance equipment. General landscaping duties including, but not limited to: pruning, watering, planting and pest control. Ensure all equipment checks are complete and report any damage and/or mechanical failures. Landscape irrigation. Document and monitor all chemical applications.
