Salary: $17-20/hr depending on experience

Schedule: Full-time M-F 7am-4pm

 

Primatara is a private estate and horse farm.  The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of landscape experience, be able to lead a small crew, have good time management skills, and can communicate effectively.  This position reports to the Horticulturist.

Responsibilities Daily upkeep and maintenance of the groundsLead and delegate tasks to a small crew Perform landscape maintenance duties including:Scout pest and disease issues, irrigation issues and other concerns in the landscapeGas powered equipment use required, backpack blower, line trimmer, mower, tiller, etc Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Any combination of education, training and experience providing the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

 

Knowledge

Some landscape maintenance experience required including working knowledge of gas powered equipment and seasonal landscape schedules.

 

 

Abilities

Must have a strong work history. The work can be repetitive and physically demanding. Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team environment.

 

Experience, Education, and Training

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Physical Requirements

This position requires constant standing, walking, forward reaching, pedal control and grasping; frequent head turning, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, handling, climbing and reaching. Candidate must be able to lift and carry 75lbs and also push and pull a push mower seasonally.

 

Working Environment

Outdoor work environment with exposure to varying weather conditions, temperatures and chemical odors.

 

Licensing/Certification

Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work. Must be willing to obtain pesticide applicators license. 

 

Miscellaneous Requirements

Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc.
