Our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division combines the expertise of IBI’s Buildings and Placemaking practice, our Places’ capabilities, and CRTKL’s multi-sector design leadership to offer a diverse range of solutions focusing on human-centric design, sustainability, and technology.
The Edmonton office is hiring a Landscape Architectural Technologist for its growing team. You will have the opportunity to provide technical assistance for preparation of designs and drawings as well as contract administration and other duties under the direction of a licensed landscape architect.

Role Accountabilities:
Work with Landscape Architects to prepare conceptual designs and assist throughout design development and construction documentationCollaborate with other disciplines including planning, architectural and engineering technologistsWork cooperatively as part of a team and collaboratively with peers and clients, internally and externally.Ensure project deliverables comply with local standards and contract requirementsPrepare construction detail drawings using CAD Complete quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimatesAssist with preparation of specifications and technical reportsAssist with the creation of presentation drawings using Adobe Suite and Sketch UpMeet project deadlines
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma from a recognized institution within the field of Landscape Architecture Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experienceExperience with contract administration (construction monitoring and inspections, etc.)Must have a valid Class 5 Alberta drivers licence and access to car to undertake site visitsProficiency in latest version of AutoCADExperience in preparation of construction detail drawingsExcellent verbal and written English communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsAdditional Information
