**Job Title: Lapping Machine Operator** **Job Description** Candidate will be responsible for performing rough and finish lapping of seal components and precision machined parts to within 1-3 helium light bands, micro finish, height, and parallelism as required per drawing. This role requires reading and comprehending drawings to lap effectively. After training, this will be a limited supervision job, and the candidate needs to be able to work independently. The candidate will also need to maintain inventory of supplies, troubleshoot quality problems, maintain machine tools, and follow preventive maintenance schedules with the maintenance team. **Responsibilities** + Perform rough and finish lapping of seal components and precision machined parts to required specifications. + Read and comprehend drawings to ensure accurate lapping. + Maintain inventory of supplies. + Troubleshoot quality problems. + Maintain machine tools and follow preventive maintenance schedules with the maintenance team. **Essential Skills** + 2 years of machine operator, set up, or technical operating experience. + 2 years of blueprint reading experience. + 1 year of micrometer use experience. + 1 year of inspection experience. + Ability to use computers for documentation and part order review. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in grinding, polishing, or lapping operations. + Experience within seal manufacturing. + CNC milling experience. **Why Work Here?** Our Client is a leading designer and manufacturer of custom-engineered mechanical seals for rotating shafts and precision components for aerospace and specialized industrial applications.
