Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Large Power IT ERP & MFG Solution Lead** **Role Definition:** Caterpillar IT is looking for a Solution Lead to partner with our Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) team to enable their strategic growth. The ERP & Manufacturing Solution Lead will help identify, grow, and implement manufacturing solutions for our Large Power business partners. They will become part of a high-performing team focused on the delivery of key business opportunities within an exciting segment at Caterpillar. As the ERP & Manufacturing Solution Lead, you will work with various business teams, key implementation partners and internal enterprise groups to provide oversight and technical leadership in the use of ERP and Manufacturing Solutions and other key applications. This position will report directly to the Large Power IT Divisional CIO and will be responsible for the successful delivery of initiatives and programs. This is an exciting opportunity as the organization looks to grow capability in support of increasing manufacturing capacity - looking for ways to exploit technology to deliver business process changes and risk mitigation. **What You Will Do:** + Create and maintain relationships with key Large Power business partners at various manufacturing sites in partnership with Large Power Solution Architect. + Direct activities related to ERP evaluations and deployments and provide leadership across the portfolio of initiatives and programs. Liaison with business transformation leads, Caterpillar IT project teams, and Large Power IT leaders and teams for success. + Consult with and become knowledgeable about the diverse Manufacturing functions at various Large Power Manufacturing facilities, what success looks like for those facilities, the challenges they face and align IT value delivery to their needs. + Identify business requirements from customer groups to shape and scope IT projects. Work with internal groups, third parties etc. to develop high level objectives and approach to meet stated requirements and aligned to clear business outcomes. + Ensure the facility receives the required deliverables as documented and agreed at the start of the project. + Via requirements gathering provide costs for project execution and ongoing costs for support. + Socialize and validate proposed solutions with business partners, Large Power Solution Architect and Enterprise Architects where required. + Function as a stakeholder to oversee the delivery of projects through the Software Development Lifecycle, working with project managers, analysts, delivery partners, testers, and business leads. Manage product lifecycle for applications to ensure compliance regarding technology and security. + Continue to grow knowledge in all areas of IT to ensure you stay current with modern technology options and new offerings within existing applications. **What You Have:** + Willingness to travel (anticipated travel 10 - 20%) + At least 3 years’ experience in working with business unit customers. + Strong progressively responsible IT job-related experiences. + 5-7 years ERP and Manufacturing Systems Experience **Top Candidates will also have** : + Familiarity with using Azure DevOps for managing user requirements. + Extensive critical thinking skills, including diagnosing faults and root causes through a blend of questioning techniques and personal technical knowledge. + Application/Infrastructure lifecycle management including upgrades and patches. + Comprehension of IT systems and their role in supporting Business Data Analytics. + Proficiency in ITSM and its associated processes. **Education/Experience:** Computer-related or engineering-related four-year degree (or equivalent work experience) **Additional Info** : + The primary location for this position is Mossville, IL. + This position requires you to work in the office **3 DAYS** a week, with some flexibility. + Sponsorship is **NOT** available. + Relocation is available for qualified candidates. **Skills Descriptors:** **Core ERP & Application Systems:** + Knowledge of major production application systems (including ERP) used for delivery of services to internal manufacturing sites; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations. **Problem Solving:** + Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. **Requirements Analysis:** + Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project. **System and Technology Integration:** + Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases, and technology platforms. **What You Will Get -** + Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
