We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Programmer/Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team on the 1st shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and operating sheet and plate laser cutting equipment with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. This position requires a solid understanding of technical drawings and specifications, as well as the ability to operate precision tools and machinery in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure accuracy in production. – Use and maintenance of precision measuring equipment such as ID and OD Micrometers, calipers, etc. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Daily, weekly , monthly PM checklistWork with Maintenance on major maintenance and repairs   Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols.Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specified standards. First Article Inspection Maintain inventory of production related consumables Qualifications

Education, Skills and Experience 

Ability to work 1st shift (8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday, Saturday 1/2 day )High School graduate or equivalent.Min 2 years programming lasers for sheet metal fabrication.Proven experience as a Laser Programmer/Operator.Strong mathematical skills.Able to communicate effectively both oral/written.Ability to read blueprints, understand GD&T including ability to write, edit and troubleshoot programs and machine issues.Excellent multi-tasking ability, attention to detail, critical thinking, and work with minimal Supervision.Ability to work overtime when necessary.
