Caterpillar currently has openings for Laser Technician positions supporting Reman Drivetrain located in the West Fargo, ND facility.  This position will operate a variety of Laser equipment to accurately produce final product as well as assist in the development of new products and processes.

General Tasks and ResponsibilitiesUse precision measuring devices to effectively machine partsUse blueprints, gauges, torque measuring devices and/or other equipment to ensure conformance to quality specificationsAbility to set-up, adjust and perform operations with close tolerance and finish requirements on standardized partsConduct pre and post inspection on all machined partsAssist other team members with technical issues and/or production problemsEfficiently perform all processes as assignedAssist in the development of work instructionsPerform preventive maintenance as requiredAssist in identifying issues and initiating corrective action processes as necessaryPerform 5S AuditsPerform Safety Stop Audits observations as requiredParticipate in the CI/PID ProcessAny duties or tasks that may be assigned to promote cross training or support for various areas of the shopFollow the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) Standard Work Sheets Other duties as assigned

 Basic Qualifications:Minimum two years job related experience in a manufacturing environment

Compensation & Benefits Offered!

Hourly Pay Range: $21.27 - $28.20 (salary negotiations to be offered based on skills/experience)2nd shift will receive an additional 7% night shift premium.​2nd Shift Work Hours: 4:15PM - 2:45AMMonday - Thursday with occasional overtime on Fridays$2,000 sign on bonus. Incumbent will receive first pay out after 90 days of employment and second payout after 180 days of employment.The payout of sign on bonus will be based on acceptable performance and attendance*40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime80 hours of vacation with an additional 24 hours of paid Personal Time Off (PTO)10 Paid holidays100% 401k match up to 6% offered on day 1 of employmentHealth, dental, vision, & life insurance offered on day 1 of employmentPotential annual performance increaseClean/safe work environmentPaid holiday shut down at the end of the year (dependent upon business needs)

Summary Pay Range:

$21.27 - $28.20

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
