Laser Weld Engineer
Job Description Troubleshoot Welding Issues Investigate welding related issues to improve product performance and increase productivity. This may include, but is not limited to reteaching robot welds, weld equipment maintenance, evaluate weld type/process. Ensure Compliance with Specifications Ensure that welding processes and equipment meet industry standards and specifications. This includes either having a Laser Weld Safety Officer Certificate or have the capability to obtain the certification. Design and Develop Weld Processes Responsible for improving, designing, developing, and maintaining welding processes and help maintain welding equipment. Lead Welding Projects Design, develop, and oversee welding projects and processes to meet customer, safety, and quality requirements. Supervise Welders on Projects Supervise operations and solve problems to meet high standards. Weld Inspection Evaluate welds from machines or fixtures. Develop and Review Non-Destructive Testing Procedures Develop and review non-destructive testing procedures for welders to follow when fabricating materials. Select Welding Equipment Use knowledge and understanding of processes to help select the right welding equipment for specific projects. Communication and Presentation Provide updates to management on irregularities, downtime, root cause, and the solutions to problems experienced during production. Skills and Requirements - Bachelors degree in welding engineering, welding engineering technology, or related discipline 3+ years of experience as a weld engineer in an industrial J.I.T. manufacturing operation environment. - AWS Certified Welding Inspector or AWS Certified Welding Engineer. - Ability to complete Robot programming weld parameters from start to finish and able to support New Model in specifications on Welding equipment. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
