Job Summary

The Lathe Machinist at Triumph Geared Solutions - Macomb is responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of CNC Lathes in the Lathe Department.  The Lathe Machinist must be able to produce high-quality products according to Triumph Gear Systems Lathe department operations manual.

Duties/Responsibilities Read, interpret, and apply information from engineering drawings Adhere to job plans per job travelers Set-up multiple types of jobs with fixtures Operate CNC Lathes Basic Maintenance of CNC Lathes Use precision measurement equipment Install and maintain cutting tools Consistently produce quality parts Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary CNC related certificate or degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of Lathe operations. Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements Good hand-eye coordination Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
