Part-Time

Perform laundry cleaning activities in accordance with Hyatt health and safety standards, while ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. 

Qualifications:

Near High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred but not necessary. This position requires strong attention to detail ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.

Responsibilities:

Comply at all times with Hyatt standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations. Sort, count, and pre-treat soiled linen in preparation for laundering. Load and unload washers and dryers. Maintain equipment as trained. Fold, store and distribute towels and linens. Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment.  Assist with other housekeeping tasks in the event of staffing shortages. Maintain clean work area. Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction. Perform other duties as requested by management.

Work Environment and Context:

Work schedule variation and may include working on holidays, weekends, or alternate shifts. Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, pulling bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching, kneeling and bending. Operate heavy machinery and use cleaning chemicals.
