Work Hours/Shift:

You Will Be Responsible For:

Communicates with other supervisor(s) to ensure needed linen items are readily available for order fulfillment. Works with management at monitoring the production process and adjusting schedules as needed making sure production is on time.

Reviews workers performance and identifies training needs. Trains employees in the safe and productive operation of the equipment. Ensures work instructions in the areas of sorting, linen classification and per weight load are followed by each operator.

Maintains staff by recruiting, interviewing, selecting, orienting and training employees as well as developing personal growth opportunities and fostering a spirit of cooperation within the department.

Understands the production standards for the department and supervises labor according to maintain maximum efficiency. Mobilizes personnel as necessary to achieve expected productivity. Monitors production by supervising staff and audit time and attendance.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

Two to three years of team lead and/or supervisory experience in a production environment such as laundry, environmental services, nutrition, manufacturing, or related field.

Bilingual in English and Spanish. (Preferred)

Job Summary:

The Laundry Supervisor supervises and coordinates all activities within his/her department. Maintains clear communication with other departments to understand, plan and execute customer orders on a daily basis. Creates the team member weekly schedule and mobilizes personnel as necessary to achieve the expected productivity. Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required to achieve objective. Due to the significance of this role, the Laundry Supervisor must ensure that each Laundry employee clearly understands and follows work instructions in his/her area of responsibility. He/she must engage with the employees and encourage an atmosphere of trust and respect.
