As Jackson’s largest venue, Snow King Resort Hotel offers over 20,000 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor function space. Featuring 203 guest rooms and vacation luxury condo rentals. Overview We are hiring a laundry supervisor to help maintain the highest standards of linen cleanliness and maintenance of laundry room. The Laundry Supervisor is also responsible to ensure that standards of cleanliness are met in assigned areas of the housekeeping department to provide a high level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service, within established time limitations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Sort Linens according to accepted standards. Load soiled linen into washing machines and start machines according to suitable program. Cleaning, drying, unloading and folding linen from washing machines and dryers according to standards. Perform a quarterly linen inventory for the Executive Housekeeper. Loading processed linen onto carts for distribution to lodges. Clean dryer filters at the close of shift. Keep work area clean and safe at all times. Sweep and mop at end of each shift. Rewash stained linen on a weekly or as directed. Proper utilization of equipment, supplies and guest amenities. Constant awareness of safety hazards, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons) and report to the Executive Housekeeper. Follow all training procedures set forth in the Bloodborne Pathogens program. Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule. Follow proper standards for issuance of terry products to Guest Rooms. Proper utilization and responsible care of equipment, supplies and guest amenities as defined by training standards. Practice safety standards at all times. Follow all policies and procedures according to Benchmark standards. Remain alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and co-workers at all times. Do weekly assigned jobs posted in the laundry room. Know proper formulas for each linen type: a) check chemicals daily; b) ability to work with laundry chemicals frequently c) know the different washing programs available at the machines. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments; delegate work. Ability to direct performance of assigned staff and follow up with corrective action. Ability to motivate assigned staff and maintain a cohesive team. Ability to think clearly under pressure and exercise good judgment. Ability to ascertain staff training needs and provide such training. Ability to focus attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure without supervision. Ability to do basic math. Ability to deal with normal workplace stress. Ability to provide required level of service to guests and associates. Communicate additions and changes to assignment sheets throughout shift. Identify situations which compromise the department's standards and delegate actions of correction. Assist staff whenever necessary in performing all job functions. Maintain inventory, cleanliness and organization of storage areas. Submit work orders for maintenance repairs to Engineering. Provide feedback on staff performance to mana Report disciplinary problems to manager and participate in the counseling of associates. Scheduling of department associates. Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving. Review status of assignments and follow-up action with manager and/or on-coming supervisor. Relay information and /or direction from Executive Housekeeper to respective staff, supervisors and shifts. Qualifications Laundry & Housekeeping experience is essential. Must be capable of withstanding extreme heat. Ability to stand for periods of 8 hours or more. Ability to prioritize tasks in order to serve our guests as efficiently as possible. Ability to properly record laundry production figures for daily production reports. Ability to communicate effectively and discipline when needed. Must be able to multi task dual assignments between departments on a as needed basis communicated through the Executive Housekeeper.
