Law Office Administrator
Description We are looking for a Law Office Administrator to join our team in Potomac, Maryland. This role involves managing various administrative functions in a law office setting. You will be responsible for handling benefit functions, billing functions, and utilizing case management software. Moreover, you will also be required to draft contracts and manage day-to-day operations within the law office. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage all benefit functions within the office • Handle the billing functions to ensure timely and accurate invoicing • Utilize case management software to track and manage cases efficiently • Draft legal contracts as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards • Manage the daily operations of the law office, ensuring smooth workflow • Coordinate with other team members to ensure efficient case management • Provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness • Handle communication with clients, witnesses etc. • Attend court proceedings when necessary and assist in preparing case briefs • Conduct thorough legal research and document findings efficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in the use of Case Management Software for effective and efficient workflow management. • Demonstrated experience in Benefit Functions and Billing Functions within a legal environment. • Ability to draft and review contracts with attention to detail and legal compliance. • Strong knowledge of law office procedures, legal terminology, and court system. • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients, lawyers, and court personnel. • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). • Prior experience in a similar role within a law office is preferred. • A degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field would be advantageous.
