Law Office Administrator
Description Growing law firm is seeking a Law Office Administrator in Oakland, California. The successful candidate will be joining a close-knit team in a key role that involves handling critical tasks for this firm. Responsibilities include: • Efficient and accurate processing of legal documents • Overseeing the smooth running of office operations • Ensuring effective communication within the office and with clients • Managing the organization and maintenance of legal files • Handling client inquiries and resolving issues promptly • Monitoring and updating client records to ensure accuracy • Assisting in the preparation of legal meetings and court sessions • Collaborating with the team to achieve office goals and objectives • Utilizing law office-specific software for administrative tasks • Ensuring office complies with law office regulations and standards. Requirements • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively relay legal information to clients and team members. • Proficiency in documentation, including drafting, editing and reviewing legal documents, reports and correspondence. • Prior experience or familiarity with law office administration, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and maintaining files. • A strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures. • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. • Proficiency in using legal software and other office tools such as Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks. • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to urgency and importance. • Some experience with accounting and bookkeeping in a law firm setting. • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and potential issues. • A degree in legal studies, business administration, or a related field is preferred. • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. • Strong interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach and a detail-oriented demeanor.
