Key job responsibilities As the LC3 Program Manager II (IC) in the GES Launch organization, you will lead one or more sub-programs or specialty areas within the LC3 (Launch Capacity & Container Configuration) Team, such as Network and Legacy Standards and Support program. This role may be responsible for supporting cross functional network projects that improve LC3 processes and/or capacity planning efficiency across multiple organizations and regions. The role supports capacity and container configuration execution, documenting and maintaining standards for the LC3 team and supported legacy networks (buildings that are greater than 90 days after their launch date). The LC3 PM II ensures continuous improvement of the entire LC3 team through systemic issue correction and aligning team standards with network best practices. In this role, you will: • Improve project and process efficiency by optimizing cross-team processes that improve team efficacy and delivery • Help define program requirements and drive the team to meet program level goals • Work across teams and influence customers, roadmap priorities, and decisions as a subject matter expert • Support complex projects through scoping of requirements, assessing resources needed, and providing committed timelines of deliverables • Drive improvements to documentation over time based on lessons learned and stakeholder feedback • Relate supported initiatives to program level goals and KPIs • Other duties as assigned A day in the life • Monitoring the status of trouble ticketing request queues and future launch projects level setting duties across configuration team, tracking and resolving errors/tickets that are systemic issues • Reviewing and improving team-wide tools and standards to track milestone completion and quality of deliverables • Identifying and correcting systemic issues that may have team-wide process impact and cross-organizational project impact • Scoping requirements, assessing resources, and providing committed timelines for complex projects • Updating and maintaining documentation based on lessons learned and stakeholder feedback • Aligning team standards with network best practices and relating supported initiatives to program goals About the team The LC3 Team is a support team within the GES Launch Team that supports capacity and label related efforts for launches, retrofits, and legacy sites. The team configures all of the capacity that a new building can maintain in Amazon Capacity Management System (ACMS) to ensure planned, configured, and physical capacity all match, while driving continuous improvement of the LC3 team programs through systemic issue tracking and alignment with network best practices. This team trains the local operation’s “bin meisters” that will maintain the site’s capacity configuration requirements for the life of the operation. LC3 also develops the label nomenclature standards and packages that are deployed at a site, and ensures all stations are configured for launch. In addition to managing launch sites, the team’s expertise is leveraged to own the network bin configuration standards. If a local site is undergoing a retrofit where capacity will grow/shrink, that activity is vetted through LC3. Basic Qualifications - 2+ years of program or project management experience - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams - Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 2+ years' Amazon experience - 1+ years experience with Excel Skill Competency (Including, but not limited to SUM, IF, VLOOKUP, COUNT, MID) - Experience with planning, performance metrics, process improvement, and lean techniques - Experience with leading and coordinating multiple stakeholders across cross-functional teams to drive programs to successful delivery Preferred Qualifications - Bin Configuration, Pick Path and Amazon Capacity Management System (ACMS) process knowledge - Experience with Hubble, SQL, or MS Excel VBA - Prior experience with Procurement - Prior experience leading a team of individual contributors - Experience exercising written, verbal, and quantitative skills - Experience in working independently and autonomously by taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Strong communication (verbal and written) and an ability to effectively partner with business stakeholders at all levels - Global perspective and solid understanding of business objectives - Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills - Experience with problem solving skills; can dive deep for root cause resolutions - Experience with business writing and constructive communication to peers and senior leadership teams, with experience in writing and supporting effective business narratives - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation and process implementation/improvement is desired - Proven ability to work productively and efficiently in an independent setting even in ambiguous settings - Experience with change management and continuous improvement processes Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
