Job Summary
This position is to build a complex immersive visual optical system and solve technical issues on-site. It must also be familiar with manufacturing processes in the module and display component. Experience with fundamentals of display design and technologies from component to system level is preferred but not required. The selected candidate will be performed as an SME/ Product engineer to solve the production issue in the production line. You will help manufacture and secure the critical process to have high performance and extraordinary visual system and work with cross function and suppliers. You will also help to improve our products to the mass production phase. Critical to the success of this position is building strong relationships with worldwide colleagues and key partners in Quality, Supply Chain, display vendors (hardware), and ODM suppliers to ensure the critical component deliverables stay within high quality.
This position is based in China. The team is split between the US and Taipei, TWN.Require traveling within China multiple cities ( ~ 40%).Responsibilities
• Coordinates and leads activities of internal and outsourced development and manufacturing partners to support manufacture of products.
• Performs engineering analysis of defective product units or sub- assemblies, along with root-cause analysis in case of production matters.
• Evaluates results of customer feedback and manufacturing, test, and quality assurance processes for products and communicates product and process issue analysis to product stakeholders.
• Collaborates with management, internal, and outsourced manufacturing and development partners to address issues, recommend and implement changes to product or process to reduce defects, improve quality, and lower costs.
• Represents product engineering team for all phases of larger and more- complex development and manufacturing projects.
• Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, demonstrating good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently.
• Develops recommendations on changes and design enhancements to manufacturing processes to improve reliability, safety, outputs.
• Leads moderate to high complexity projects, and supports the realization of operational and strategic plans.
• Delivers professionally written reports, and supports realization of operational and strategic plans.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of product engineering design and development innovation and excellence.
Education & Experience Recommended
Expert in LCD panel development, i.e. optical design, EE design (Tcon, S-IC).Familiar with OCA / OCR and film to film ; glass to film lamination process.BLU OE experience. (Optics or Mechanical)LED lighting products experiences.Subject matter expert (SME/ Product engineer) at LCM relative area.Experience on NPI and manufacture process and solving issues. Familiar with display industry production. (LCM FEOL / BEOL / module. Lamination)8+ years of work experience in LCD industry design and development. Well understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and FMEA processes.Familiar on LCM Array / CF / Cell / Module process. Well understanding on LCM relative issue and possibility root-cause.Customer-oriented, enthusiastic about innovation, keeping daily updates on new tech, and strong teamwork.Strong presentation and communication skill in both Mandarin and English, ability to work under pressure.
