+ GENERAL SUMMARY + The LCSW Clinical Social Worker (CAP) conducts evidence-supported psychotherapy of maltreated children and families. Reports to the Executive Director of CAP. + ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Evaluates children for symptoms of trauma and its impact and determines treatment and other needs. + Conducts evaluation of parents and other adults to determine their capacity to care for children in a healthy way. + Assimilates and summarizes data generated from evaluation and writes a thorough report including findings and recommendations. + Performs other duties as assigned. + LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS + Current Virginia license as a License Clinical Social Worker (LSCW). + MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS + Approximately six to twelve months on-the-job experience preferred. + Knowledge of child development. + Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. + Experience in evaluation and treatment of child maltreatment population and their families. + Experience in implementing evidence-based treatments with children and families. + Ability to work with multidisciplinary approach. + Ability to work as a team player within a multidisciplinary approach. + Experience in working with investigative agencies and community resources. + Increased Security Clearance may be Required: Recurring FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, Child Protective Services registry search, and Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender. + Increased Security Clearance Required for Job Roles in Medical Tower II: FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, and Child Protective Services registry search. + WORKING CONDITIONS + Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. + PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + Click here to view physical requirements.
