Where is the work:

Due to the nature of this role, this position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule, with work performed onsite 3 days each week. 

This role is responsible for computing costs associated with projects. This position is required to closely interact with the Account Manager’s, the Inside team and assigned project staff to ensure timely completion of each project.  What you will do: Responsible for computing cost estimates for materials, purchased equipment.  Responsible for the take-off of equipment for proper size, configuration, voltage, options, etc.Selects and prices proper equipment per the plans and specifications.Creation of preliminary proposal.  Responsible for identifying possible cost savings and/or cost problems that will occur on various projects.  Supports sales and develops preliminary submittals as required. Maintains competitive advantage and stays abreast of industry trends.Maintains job-related supplied inventory by recording quantities required.Optimizes expenses by negotiating prices with vendors for materials.Documents work by maintaining files for each job.Obtains and validates vendor quotes.Generates and distributes final proposal.Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate's degree in engineering, engineering technology or business management or one to three years experience in estimating, engineering or construction management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Familiarity with the operation of HVAC systems and temperature controls.  Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to:                                         DUI in the previous 5 years; Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range - $51,200 - $68,800.
