Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.
Job Summary
Constructs, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. Work on a wide range of projects, including building frameworks, doors, windows, stairs, and cabinetry, as well as remodeling and renovation work. Read blueprints and technical drawings, measure and cut materials to precise specifications, and use various hand and power tools to complete tasks. Also handles the installation of drywall, insulation, and flooring. In addition to technical expertise, must possess problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong physical stamina to manage the demands of the job.
Roles and Responsibilities
Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman.
Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site.
Prepares materials and builds and erects a broad range of structures in support of plant construction and maintenance activities.
Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Performs other duties and activities as directed.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Experience with carpentry is required, preferably three (3) plus years.
Ability to work with all types of power and hand tools safely and effectively.
Ability to work under general supervision as well as with limited supervision.
Work well under reduced time constraints.
Be able to provide a strong level of customer service.
Strong integrity /ethics required.
Requires a valid driver's license.
Must be Kosovo citizen
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
English proficiency preferred.
