Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.
Job Summary
Supervises the logistics element of portable and wheeled fire extinguishers utilized for fire protection services in support of installation facilities, aircraft operations and vehicles. Oversees, tracks, and liaisons with third-party subcontractors to ensure annual inspections, maintenance, and recharging of fire extinguishers distributed within Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo and other site locations throughout Europe as assigned.
Roles and Responsibilities
Experience with various fire extinguisher equipment, to include portable fire extinguishers (varying weights/sizes), wheeled fire extinguishers, and compressed air foam systems.
Candidates must be familiar with NFPA 10 – Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers and 29 CFR 1910.157 – Portable Fire Extinguishers.
Candidates must also have an in-depth knowledge of the various types of fire classifications and fire extinguishers necessary for regulatory compliance with fire protection standards.
Must also have strong communication skills and the ability to provide educational training with the use of portable fire extinguishers for non-firefighting personnel.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Required Certifications: IFSAC/NPQS/DOD - Fire Officer I, Fire Instructor I and Fire Inspector I
Experience: Must have a minimum of 4 years working in Fire and Emergency Services (any capacity)
Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
Must be Kosovo citizen
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Experience with Fire Department logistics and/or supply and fire extinguisher refurbishment.
