LCV NORTHCOM: Deputy Task Order Manager
Title: LCV NORTHCOM: Deputy Task Order Manager Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR! Program Summary As part of the LOGCAP NORTHCOM scope, KBR provides rapid response support to scheduled and unscheduled US Army training exercises. KBR’s LOGCAP team successfully completed another year of support to Warfighter operations by providing typical LOGCAP services at two locations. Job Summary The NORTHCOM Deputy Task Order Manager (DTOM) will provide critical support to the Task Order Manager (TOM) by overseeing cost, schedule, personnel management, contract compliance, and maintaining exceptional customer relationships. The DTOM plays a key leadership role in managing daily operations, ensuring performance standards are met, and serving as the primary point of contact in the absence of the TOM. This position emphasizes contingency operations experience, mentoring and training subordinate staff, startup and transition operations, and budget analysis expertise to meet and exceed mission objectives. The DTOM will ensure master plans and schedules are meticulously followed, provide innovative solutions to operational challenges, and lead diverse teams to achieve mission objectives. This role requires a combination of leadership, operational expertise, and strategic oversight to successfully deliver on all aspects of the NORTHCOM task order. Roles and Responsibilities • Strategic Leadership: Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and production of all contract activities to ensure mission success. • Client Interface: Act as a liaison with client management, including the Program Vice President and Contracting Officer, to maintain alignment with client objectives. • Personnel Management: Recruit, mentor, and manage personnel across multiple geographic locations to ensure effective task execution. • Program Organization: Establish and adjust the program structure to optimize contract support and address emerging requirements. • Operational Oversight: Supervise daily execution of task order operations, ensuring hands-on management and adherence to performance goals. • Quality Assurance: Assign, schedule, and oversee configuration control and quality assurance for team deliverables, ensuring compliance with task specifications and contract provisions. • Resource Allocation: Support OSO operations by ensuring proper resourcing of all task order requirements. •Problem Solving: Develop and implement solutions for emergent program challenges, focusing on timely completion of tasks and operational excellence. •Supervision and Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to teams, fostering professional development and alignment with corporate objectives. •Process Governance: Govern processes and procedures, establish metrics of success, and perform compliance checks to maintain high standards. •Financial Oversight: Conduct budget analysis, monitor expenditures, and articulate variances to ensure fiscal responsibility. Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications) • Proven Task Order Level OSO Experience: Prior experience in roles requiring task order management within KBR, other performance-based contracts, or the military. • Contingency Operations Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage and execute operations in dynamic, high-pressure environments. • Transition Operations: Experience in coordinating successful transitions, including site closures and startups. • Project Planning Skills: Expertise in basis of estimate development, concept of operations planning, and execution oversight. • Leadership: Strong people management skills, with a focus on mentoring and training subordinate staff. • Communication Excellence: Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities. • Budget Analysis Expertise: Proficiency in analyzing budgets and articulating financial variances with clarity. • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with key KBR business systems, including Maximo, Costpoint/Deltek and SharePoint • Security Clearance: Current NAC-I and Secret Clearance. • Operational Agility: Ability to travel and operate within the area of operations on short notice. • Base Life Support Management: 5+ years of progressive experience managing base life support projects. Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications) • Familiarity with KBR CONUS operations. • Experience managing complex financial, technical, and contractual requirements across programs. •Proven ability to align processes with organizational goals and ensure compliance with standards.
