LDAR Technician - Williston Basin

**Job Summary**
The Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Technician supports the Emissions Program Team with the primary focus of ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations applicable to the upstream oil and gas industry. This position is tasked with delivering field support of LDAR projects, including but not limited to conducting Optical Gas Imaging (OGI)/Method 22/Audio Visual Olfactory (AVO) inspections, LDAR recordkeeping, and servicing on-site equipment.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Schedule and conduct Optical Gas Imaging (OGI), Method 22, and Audio Visual Olfactory (AVO) inspections in accordance with EPA 40 CFR Subpart OOOOa/b/c.
+ Perform routine repairs on upstream oil and gas equipment.
+ Capture accurate and timely inspection data via internal software applications for agency reporting.
+ Generate maintenance work orders and track repairs.
+ Travel to remote oil and gas production sites/facilities.
+ Other duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma (or GED).
+ Ability to pass a respiratory fit test, if applicable to route/location.
+ Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
+ An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Minimum two (2) years of field experience regarding technical, industrial, and/or oil and gas services.
+ Experience in conducting Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) inspections.
+ Knowledge of upstream oil & gas production equipment and operations.
+ Familiarity with federal and state air quality regulations (e.g., Permitting, NSPS, etc.).
**Physical Requirements**
+ Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for an extended period of time.
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
+ Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time.
+ Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers.
+ Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions.
+ Ability to one arm carry up to 25lbs. without assistance.
+ Regular bending, crouching, pulling, and kneeling to check equipment and gauges.
+ Must be able to exert up to 50lbs. of force occasionally and up to 20lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects.
+ Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities.
+ Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in the field, hazardous chemicals, and hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required.
