Lead, Business Aviation Strategy

About This Role

                                                                                                         

The Lead, Business Aviation Strategy manages strategic initiatives, owns and delivers on various market analyses, competitive intelligence, strategic scenarios, and customer insights and will support the annual strategic planning process for the Business Aviation Training business. You will translate your data analytics outputs and results into strategic recommendations and decision support for BAT leaders and their teams. With strong stakeholder relationships, this role ensures business alignment across the different BAT business leaders and collaborates closely with the Civil Strategy & Performance teams to support strategic decision making for Civil’s Executive Leadership.

This role requires a strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, analytics, and enterprise planning. The successful candidate must maintain and have a strong bird’s eye view of the entire business unit.

Be ready for the following responsibilities

Develop, build and execute strategic initiatives that support BAT’s vision & goals.Provide strategic data analysis and recommendations for market, customer and competitor analysis for decision support and to drive strategic objectives for the business unitGather and analyze large amounts of information; develop compelling and insightful strategic recommendations for leadershipSupport the annual 5-year strategic plan for BAT’s executive leadership.Lead Business Aviation Executive Reporting for monthly business reviews, quarterly investor activities and Board of Directors requirementsSupport the Enterprise Risk Management processes for Business Aviation while maintaining a long-term outlook.Facilitate regional business units in the development of strategic plans with strategic insights, approaches and ensure alignment with overall BAT strategy, based on internal and market analyticsSupport various strategic internal projects including M&A actions with strategic evaluation & analyses

Requirements

University degree in relevant field. Masters preferred.6-10 years of experience involving strategic problem solving and frameworks, planning and project management skills.Having worked in a strategic role or consulting is a plusStrong analytical, financial and business acumenExtensive knowledge in market analysis, market segmentation, market strategy, and competitive positioningCapable of distilling complex problems into concise and compelling summaries for executive decision making; being able to define the ‘So what?’ from the dataAdvanced analytical skills around data collection, manipulation of data, statistics, forecasting, usage of tools, and data reportingStrong communication skillsTalent for building relationships and alignment across a variety of stakeholders and organization levels.Proactive and takes full accountabilityAgile mindset - work well under pressure and work with a sense of urgency
