Job Title: Lead, Electrical Engineering Job Code: 20775 Job Location: Melbourne, FL Schedule: 9/80 Job Overview: As a Lead Electrical Engineer for product development at L3Harris you will spearhead electrical design and development initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in driving the technical direction, ensuring they align with the company's strategic objectives and technological advancements. Key Responsibilities: + Lead the electrical engineering efforts development programs, from concept through to prototype development and testing. + Design and simulate complex electrical systems, components, and circuits for cutting-edge applications. + Oversee the development of schematics and electrical component selection, ensuring compliance with industry standards. + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems with other project elements. + Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior electrical engineers and team members. + Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to meet goals and deliverables. + Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new technologies or design approaches. + Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and reports. + Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in electrical engineering and related fields. + Present project progress and findings to stakeholders and at technical conferences as needed. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. + Experience in electrical engineering supporting the development of products + Demonstrated expertise in digital and analog circuit design, simulation, and testing. + Proficient with EDA tools for schematic capture. + Experience with embedded systems design and microcontroller integration. + Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in electrical engineering. + Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
