WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This position will report to NIKE’s Director of External Reporting. The role will work cross functionally with our Investor Relations, Legal and Finance counterparts to manage the quarterly earnings release process. You will also partner with other Controlling teammates to work through accounting matters and understand their impacts to our external filings.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As the external financial reporting environment continues to evolve, the ideal candidate has a strong foundation in US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements with a proven ability to drive results with multiple stakeholder groups. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, ability to navigate change and a collaborative communication approach.

You bring:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or a combination of relevant experience, education, and trainingMinimum 6 years work experience in Accounting, Finance or related functionsCPA requiredPublic accounting experience preferredSEC registrant experience is a plusStrong understanding of US GAAP, accounting principles and financial statement analysisConfirmed ability to identify, research and resolve accounting issuesExperience with international transactions in a large, multinational consumer products companyStrong project management skillsStrong communication and presentation skillsCross-functional approach with teams from all functions around the organizationHigh standards for quality and attention to detailStrong proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and WordSAP experience preferredAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will coordinate and lead aspects of the preparation of NIKE’s quarterly and annual SEC filings. Validation and preparation of quarterly earnings release information in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations will be a critical part of this role. In partnership with the technical accounting department, you will research and resolve various technical accounting issues related to external reporting. You will ensure compliance with SOX 404 for internal controls over corporate financial reporting. You will also maintain appropriate industry expertise and technical knowledge to be used in effective communication and partnership with key stakeholders.
