WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As a key member of the Corporate and Professional Services team, you will report directly to the Director of IT Outsourcing, Consulting and Professional Services Procurement. You will work closely with peers across the procurement team, collaborators and leaders across multiple business lines in support of services sourcing needs. This role provides the Category Lead the opportunity to interact, present, and influence Nike senior leadership to gain support for key initiatives and strategies.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Global Category Lead in our Corporate and Professional Services team. We need someone who will create meaningful linkages between procurement category goals and business objectives, bring the most suitable external solutions in, and gain sustainable competitiveness advantages for our business with the long-term strategic intents in mind.

5+ years experience in Services Procurement

Sourcing Strategy, including demonstrated ability complete category strategies

Supplier Relationship Management and Analysis

Experience negotiating and implementing rate cards with suppliers

Experience with negotiating large engagements

-Experience navigating complex governance processes (risk, spend approval, etc.)

Excellent communication and influencing skills

Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive 2nd level insights from unstructured data

Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret spend and cost data, including understanding of Total Cost of Ownership

Experience using different negotiation tactics; proven success negotiating multi-million dollar contracts

Experience supporting legal teams in contract development activities, including knowledge of standard contract structures and key terms

Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including advanced level PowerPoint and Excel

Demonstrated experience to think Globally and work with an international culturally-diverse team

Passion for the NIKE brand

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 3 yrs; Masters + 4 yrs; Associates degree + 6 yrs; High School + 7 yrs

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
We will need you to work with a cross functional team leading category strategies, category implementation, collaborator engagement and supplier management. We need you to define scope of the category and derive insights from global and regional enterprise strategic planning and business driver analysis. You will also synthesize industry trends, import external insights, conduct effective benchmarking, develop enterprise strategies for optimized sourcing of services from various sources, and deliver global category strategy fits global and regional category needs.

We are looking for someone who will drive implementation of complex, multi-regional strategies through global/geo partnerships. You will identify and deliver initiatives/saving pipelines through internal and external partnerships that aligns with category strategies. Lastly, you will demonstrate solid understanding of buying channel, Plan-to-Pay, and negotiation of commercial terms.
