Join our team. **About the Role** Work with product managers and business users on internationalization (i18n) and/or localization (l10n) to assess the localizability of new and existing systems, identify linguistic needs and formulate business requirements. Work with software engineers and UI/UX designers to design and implement i18n and/or l10n solutions on various new and legacy applications; write technical requirements, make architecture recommendations, provide guidance on translation APIs (application programming interface) and i18n standards, lead system integration projects, and at times write or revise code. Work with vendors of various software systems such as eCommerce systems, CMS (content management system), PIMs (product information system), HR (human resources) systems, ITSM (information technology service management) systems, to evaluate and test their i18n and l10n features and configure them in a way that optimizes the localization business processes Evaluate and assist in selection of i18n and l10n vendors including TMS (translation management system), Machine Translation and LLM (large language model) providers and negotiate custom solution development. Design and roll out localization business processes and lead training for all functions and brands when a software system or a new file type is involved. Support localization project managers and linguists worldwide with setting up localization workflows, configuring TMS and translation plug-ins, report and track their bugs until resolution. Collect i18n and l10n performance data in terms of linguistic quality, process efficiency, and ROI, to identify areas of improvements. Assess translation quality and provide linguistic feedback for one of Gap Inc’s main languages at times. Must appear in office 3 days per week. Working from home permissible 2 days per week. Salary Range: $116,500- $148,500 Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location.
