The M&A / Corporate Development team at Compass partners with our executive team and business leaders to drive growth and expansion into new markets and new lines of business. As a Lead of Mergers and Acquisitions & Corporate Development you will drive the M&A deal process, including valuation, deal structuring, diligence, and integration. You will report to the Senior Manager, M&A, to acquire high quality companies across our business lines. You will have the opportunity to work independently, manage your own deals and will have the authority and autonomy to make a direct impact on the company. You will also be asked to complete other impactful projects directly for the executive team.

At Compass You Will:
Work with our executive team and business partners to acquire high quality companies Manage acquisitions from inception to post-closing, including the diligence, purchase agreement negotiation and integration phases Work across several lines of business from brokerage to services such as title & escrow, mortgage, and beyond Work on strategy-related projects for our executive teamWhat We're Looking For:
7+ years of experience within finance or consulting, including 3+ years of experience on a Corporate Development team at a publicly traded company, or Transaction Advisory Services group at a top tier consulting firm Ability to conduct rigorous financial and operational due diligence on Target companies Ability to complete detailed Quality of Earnings assessments on Target companies with limited oversight Ability to work independently to own an M&A deal end-to-end, including negotiating directly with business owners and managing a diligence process Ability to manage third party diligence providers through project inception to purchase agreement negotiations Superior analytical skills, deal structuring & business valuation capabilities Demonstrated ability to own a deal process and project-manage cross-functionally across a broad set of internal stakeholders Proficiency in merger, stock and asset agreement terms and negotiations Strong written and oral communication skillsCompensation: The salary pay range for this position is $145,000 - $160,000 however, the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
