WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
Within our NIKE Matrix organization, you will report to the Director, Procurement Marketing & Events. You will work closely with the Global Marketing & Events Procurement team and specifically the Global Director Media & Platforms to build the global category strategy and identify a sustainable pipeline of sourcing opportunities.
Within EMEA, you will work closely with the Sourcing managers of the team.
Business partnership will be key and you will work closely with your key stakeholders in the EMEA Marketing function including Brand planning & Operations, Finance and Legal.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Procurement plays a critical role in supporting business growth, driving innovation & mitigating risk through internal & external partnerships. Our category leads are the key enablers. We are looking for a category lead for Media & Platforms, someone who has deep category expertise, a strategic mindset, and who can create meaningful linkages between procurement goals and business objectives. One of the main focus will be to help develop and implement a category strategy for Integrated Media which will bring a vision for Media procurement. The nature of Nike media is heavily emphasized on Digital/Performance so a strong background in this area will be a definite plus.
The role demands strong leadership to drive step change, improving supplier performance and innovation, think out of the box with appropriate support from our stakeholders to enable success. The ideal candidate needs to have comprehensive Media category management expertise in order to provide thought leadership to work closely with key Marketing leaders and develop sourcing strategies to optimize the spend and opportunities in this category.
Strategic thinking, communication & influencing skills will be necessary to operate in our global matrix environment.
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the below criteria:
Extensive work experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing and Category Management (10+ years)
Category Management experience in international environment
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret spend and cost data, research market trends, and identify new opportunities
Global perspective and experience in sourcing and category management
Strong leadership, influencing and communication skills gained across a range of cultural environments
Proven experience influencing & collaborating with business partners, including identifying business partner needs, developing action plans, defining clear deliverables, and presenting results.
Proven record of winning hearts and minds of their teams, inspiring people to innovate, take calculated risk, coach and support them through the process.
Being brave, assertive and knowledgeable to present and convince any audiences on a proposed approach
Ability to adapt quickly and make an impact in a rapid paced Procurement Organization.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, core to this role is category management, stakeholder engagement & supplier relationship management.
You will be working as part of the Marketing & Events team in the EMEA Procurement Team. You will focus on the Media & Platforms category to develop strategies and implementation plans which support the following value proposition:

You will work closely with the global and other geo category teams to develop the global category strategy and will lead the development of the strategic plans for EMEA. You will have to identify sourcing opportunities and deliver a sustainable pipeline of projects. You will be responsible for identifying & building unbreakable relationships with key stakeholders, working with them to build consensus and alignment of the sourcing strategies and associated sourcing projects. You will work closely with the sourcing managers within the team to drive and execute the implementation of the sourcing strategy.
When it comes to supplier relationship management, you will work with our partners and execute the supplier relationship program with these vendors in close collaboration with the business stakeholders.
